CoolerMaster HCC-002. Worth the $16 I paid for it!

Hey guys,

Just figured I'd post my performance with this cooler. My system: XP 1600+, Epox 8kha+. One fan for intake, one fan exhaust. I bought the HCC-002 from TCWO during that special ($9 + $7 shipping). Results:

Case Temps: 25-28 C

Stock HSF:
Idle: 43 C
Load: Pushing 50 with WCIII!!

HCC-002:
Idle:34-35 C
Load: 37-38 C (WCIII again)

If you guys have the cooler, what sort of performance are you getting? post it here!

The fan is ridiculously loud and spins at 7000 RPM (sounds like I'm sitting next to a waterfall). It doesn't have the same high-pitched noise as the delta it seems. But I'm quite pleased with the performance. Just one question... what 60mm fan would you guys recommend to cool the copper if I can't take the noise anymore?

Well i got my cpu coolers from the newegg refurb section and defitely got what i paid for. PAL8045U w/46CFM fan for 25 shipped and MCX462 w/68CFM fan for 39 shipped. I won't need a new heatsink for a long long time as long as i stay socket A.

I got the same HS but the pipes were hitting transistors on my board... so i took the fan off and put it on an SK-6. 😀 It was too loud so i hooked it up to my rheobus... 31c idle and quiet... 45c at load and blasting away ever so loudly. 🙁
