CoolerMaster Cosmos 1000 ?

Does anyone with this case know how much clearance there is from the proc. to the side panel. All the stuff for my new build is on it's way except for a cpu cooler, which I have tet to purchase.
Tried to email CoolerMaster but they don't seem to inclined to reply.

It will fit easily, with about 2" of clearance. There's probably a better option for you though, You can get the Sunbeam CCF for $30 AR + free shipping, and it outperforms the CM

Thanks for the reply. I should have mentioned the cooler is for a Core i7.
I guess I'll drive on over to FrozenCPU and pick one up and see what other options they have in stock,so I can put everything together this weekend.

How you figure? The reviews I've seen have the V8 either hanging with or slightly beating the TRUE.

I don't mind the cost or it's weight, plus it's a damn good lookin cooler. 🙂 Now the V10, thats another story. I'd be afraid to have that hangin off my MB.

Fair enough. I have the V8 on my i7 920, and it does pretty well. I haven't tried OC'ing yet since I need to get more case fans. I also get conflicting core temps between EVGA's E-leet utility and Real Temp, with real temp being lower by about 8(!) degrees. (40-41 at idle vs approx. 33 at idle). Strangely, temps don't change much under load (8 threads of orthos). Haven't had time to really monkey with it.
