Coolermaster Cavalier? ***With POLL***

Ok guys I need your help...

I have a Chieftec Dragon DX and I'm relatively happy with it for the last 2 years. It's got 2x80mm intakes, 2x80mm exhausts and a side 80mm fan. Plus it looks OK in silver.

The Coolermaster Cavalier (Without PSU) is on special at my retailer for £40. That comes with a 80mm intake, 120mm exhaust and a 80mm side fan slot.

Should I get it?

I'm planning an upgrade soon and I rather not buy it if my case is a good home to a A64...

The Cavalier 3 (pictured) has a 120mm fan as an exhaust.

I have a Cavalier 2 (desktop style) and it has substandard cooling, still it's not an overclocked box and it's pretty slick looking. It's hard to go wrong with a Coolermaster case.

If you can get a Cav 3, go with that simply because there will be less fan noise with less 80mms. Otherwise, I'd say stick with the Chieftec. It was an amazing case back in the day, and it's still very capable today.

The Cav 3 is a great case, but if you are happy with what you have stick with that. Spend the money on something else.

Dispite the Cavalier having a 120mm rear fan, the Cheiftec has better cooling due to having a more open front bezel design. Simple decesion.

Yes the Cav 3 has a bit of a restricted front opening. Alot of people are modding the window with a fan and getting very good cooling results....still a very nice case overall.....

I think I might stick with the case and plough the extra money in a new PSU, as my TT PurePower 420W (hey, I got it free ) can't quite cut it on the 12V line compared to the newer PSUs.
