Ok, I'm having a real hard time deciding between these two cases. If I got the Cooler Master, it would be silver. If I got the LL Warrior it would be black. Anyone have either of these two? Or anyone have any thoughts? I'd wait until the LL Warrior went on sale, so I'm guessing both cases would cost about the same. The silver Cooler Master looks sooo slick.. but the black LL Warrior looks like a sweet monster as well. :)

I just went through this debate. I originally concluded the ThermalTake Xaser III V2000A was the best at $165 (no psu), but in the end I found the Cooler Master for $112. I also found out the ATCS-Tek MRO-16 is the CM 201. Here's a couple of useful links:
24 Case Review
PSU Review

I went with the Antec 480 for future upgradability, and I heard a couple of horror stories ubout exploding 430s. Here's a link to the $112 (+ s/h, $17 for me), cheapest I found it at from a fairly reputable store.
Manufacturer Part Number: ATC-201C-SX2 Package: RETAIL
They also have about the cheapest price on Antec PSUs, but make sure you order them from the link in PriceWatch rather than their web site.

Thanks for the links Slammy. I dunno, I'm not sure I find the Xaser III's appearance. I know a lot of people love it but it just doesn't do anything for me.

Argh this is killing me. The Lian Li looks so cool and should never have any issue with heat, but the silver Cool Master just has a slick more professional look.

I wish that side hole had a different color then that green... unfortunately that's the only way you can get it.. :(

So...why don't you get yerself a silver Lian-Li, borrow a Dremel, do the mods yerself and save about $70 bucks or so?

Same reason I pay $10 to get my oil changed which I could easily do, but will spend half the day waxing and detailing my car. I love building computers, but drilling holes in my case I would rather just pay someone else to spend the time doing it, and also I'm guaranteed a professional job. :)

ProUser, I wasn't tryin' to be a wise guy...

I just think that's an exorbitant amount of money for what they have actually done to that case!

I have a Lian-Li PC-65b with the factory blowhole, and I found that if you remove the "louvers" and install a plain-jane wire grill, you exhaust flow will increase by almost 100%! It's a 5-minute job. I also replaced all the stock Adda fans with Panaflo H1A's on a rheobus, which made a tremendous positive difference in case cooling which was already good!

The filters on the Coolermaster would drive me crazy! What were they thinking here? You have to remove all those screws just to clean 'em? Come on! I still use the front filter on my PC-65, but it's held in place by the air pressure from the intake fans! The fancy stock aluminum cover blocked about 30% of the intake flow, and you can't even see it with the front panel in place.

I'm sorry, I have nothing polite to say about the Xaser....I just think they are done in poor taste...

I agree Blooz. Althouth the base case is usually $120-$175 stock for either of the new I mentioned so it's probably about $75 for them to do the mods. Honestly I think paying that much for a case, and then another big chunk of change for a power supply is crazy. But it seems like everytime I build a new computer, I need to upgrade the case and the powersupply yet again. So, $60-100 everytime I upgrade has added up over the years to nothing more than a pile of crappy cases in my garage.

My thought was this time was to shell out for a real nice case, and a real good power supply that will both last a LONG time. I'd love to have a case/powersupply that lasted me the next 3, 4, 5, 6 etc computer upgrades.. if such a occurance is even possible.. :)
