CoolerMaster 922 or Lian Li...

I am in need of a new case with good air flow.
Migrating from the full tower world to the mid tower world, but good cooling is a must. I have had recent heat issues that I need to remedy.

The 922 looks interesting, but also wanted to check out some Lian Li cases as I have heard good things about Lian Li.

System is:

AMD 945, will be OC'ing (in market for HS to get rid of stock HS).
8 gigs DDR 1600 memory
GTX 260
(1) 64gig SSD drive
(2) 7200 Sata Drives
(1) DVD Burner

The 922 appears to have some good cooling: couple 200mm fans (front, rear, top and side). Is the 922 as good as it sounds?

Are there any equivalents on the Lian Li side that I should consider?

How important is it to have a intake fan blowing air onto the mobo/GPU etc.?

Just trying to figure out a good solution for optimal air cooling on my rig, since heat is becoming a issue.

Thx

Nada eh?

Well, about this. Anyone tell me if the 922 is a good case?
Was thinking of swapping out some of the 200mm fans for maybe some 120mm PWM fans. THoughts on that?

THx

The HAF 922 is a nice case with alot of room inside. It's easy to work with and has alot of room to hide all the nasty wires :)

The HAF 922 comes with 200mm top and front fans, 120mm rear fan. The door has a mount for either 2x 120mm's or another 200mm.

Here's a couple shots of my barebones in the forsale/trade forum....Not pimping it. Just thought it would be better than viewing newegg photos and would give you an idea of how much room is in there! That is a full size ATX motherboard in case your wondering.

Lian Li makes some nice cases but I've never seen one in person.

Very impressive. Nice setup.
Hows the air flow and cooling? pretty good?

Very surprised how comfy and roomy the inside is.

Airflow is good on the HAF series. The 200mm fans are audible but not noisey. Due to the bubbled out sides it has alot of room behind the motherboard tray to strap all the xtra power supply wires. The optional 200mm fan on the door does help keeping the motherboard cool and supplying fresh air to video card(s)

Cooler Master is great if you're primary concern is cooling. Personally, preferring the minimal look, I can't stomach their design. The 922 looks like a kids' transformer toy to me. However, if you like the design or are concerned only with utility, then it's an excellent case.

Me, I'd go for something like this:

or this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811112304

or this! http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811112244

I love the Space Odyssey monolith look.

The Lian Li Lancool series--it offers lower priced cases that would compete with the Cooler Master better in terms of cooling performance/dollar while maintaining a more mature design...

Just my $0.02.

I vote for the HAF. If I was in the market for a new case I would get it. Right now I use the Rosewill Challenger. I like it and it works great. Plenty of air flow for my needs and quit enough for me :)

I posted this same question not to long ago, I've had a Lian li PC-60 Plus, and its an ok case, I like the style of it but the Aluminum is really thin and flimsy, and the Case is noisy and it was so tight to work in that changing parts was difficult. but they do look nice. I think the Haf is better if you want low noise and its also mostly steel so its more sturdy. And its much easier to work in because theres so much more room compared to most Mid towers.

The Lancool K60 is quite similar to a PC60, but made of steel (and some plastic, but not much).
