I recently added a fourth hard drive to my system. My specs are below with the addition of 4 SATA hard drives, 1 SATA DVD-RW, 1 IDE DVD-RW and 3 120mm fans. I assumed 850w would be enough for my system. When I added the 4th hard drive everything was fine until I tried to play a game- the game would freeze up and I would get a DirectX error when I was running my 8800GTXs in SLI mode. When I disabled SLI mode everything ran fine with one 8800GTX card. I then disconnected the new hard drive and then my 8800GTX SLI ran fine again. Can I assume I may have overloaded one of the 12v rails that may be powering one of the video cards? I have yet to move connectors around to see if that will solve my problem (it was 1am and I had to go to bed last night). I'm thinking 850w would be plenty for my setup- you guys think my assumption is correct about possibly overloarding one 12v rail?
Thanks,
Scott
