I just put together my first rig in a CoolerMaster 201 case. Sweet aluminum case but,
at the end of everything I have a little ziplock bag with 4 brass looking screws in it
and a note in the bag that says:

"NOTICE:
THESE SCREWS IS ONLY USE FOR RETENTION MODULE!"

Whew! Sounds serious huh? The only problem is, I don't have a clue as to what a
"retention module" is. I sent email to their tech support and haven't heard anything
yet. Nothing has fallen off the case so far.

Anybody know what a "retention module" is?

The "retention module" is for mounting a P4 heatsink onto a P4 motherboard. When I installed my P4T and P4 1.7 processor, I was almost knocked for a loop when I saw how the thing was put together.

Your case probably has four threaded screw holes in a rectangular pattern about 3" inward from the ATX I/O sheild.

Son of a gun. Thanks for the info, it was really starting to bug me. I have
an AMD motherboard so now I know why I didn't need the screws.

I feel better.
