A build for my girlfriend has landed me on the newegg page for the Cooler Master Xtreme Power 600W power supply. I have a few questions. How is Cooler Master with their quality and psu reputation? Would it also be enough to power a 3570k, 660ti, and a few HDD's and optical drives? I mainly am looking at this because it is $55 with a $20 rebate. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

If on budget, I'd get a CX500 for that setup. If not on budget, a 5-yr warranty unit with solid caps and possibly higher efficiency, e.g. XFX 550W, Seasonic G550, Rosewill Capstone 450-550.

i really don,t understand coolermaster in regard to quality..they make great cases, if not the best...but when it comes to psu,s...on the lower mid range of power supplys, but not the worst....this company should be putting out great power supplys to match the quality of the cases,,i don,t understand there reasoning behind this

I'd be surprised if their PSUs from budget to high end were all reliable and high quality, because their cases are not. CM's cheap PSUs are like their cheap cases - nothing special. And their high end PSUs (Silent Pro anything) are typically very good just like their high end cases.

cm extreme power sucks

cm silent pro m and m2 are decent, a lil below corsair

cm silent pro gold and silent pro hybrid are a lil below seasonic/high end corsair

long story short, cm extreme sucks

but they make excellent psus as well

I would rather have a cx 380 over xtreme 600
