I am thinking of buying the Coolermaster XDream HAC-V81 heatsink and fan for £16.73. Is it a good heatsink for this price? I have a XP1900.

how does it compare to a sk7, with similar low power 80mm fans? <2500rpm

I imagine a SK-7 would handily beat it. The SK-7 does seem to have compatibility issues with a very small amount of motherboards. Capacitors sometime block the base of the heatsink.

The cooler master defininately does have issues, the clip fits snugly against my power supply. I had to to take the psu out of my case and put the heatsink on inside the case(cannot slide mobo tray out with it installed)

on abit nf7-s

It will not beat SK7 or even SLK-800.
it's more a bargain cooler that provides bang for the buck.

The clip will comes very close to the power supply on most new boards.
since mb manufactures moved the socket to the edge of the board.
If you are building a new comp, install the chip and heatsink 1st before you put the board into the case.
