My new system is just a little under two months old. All was blissful (i.e. quiet) until about a week ago when I noticed intermittent noise from the computer case. I tracked it down to the CM AIO pump block.

In UEFI, the motherboard fan connector to which the pump is connected has been set to Full Speed from day #1 to keep the pump operating as recommended. However since about a week ago the pump intermittently ramps up for a few seconds and produces a grinding/rattling noise. HWMonitor shows the "fan speed" (not sure what it is actually measuring on a pump?) is normally 2700-2800 rpm. When the pump makes the grinding noise, HWMonitor shows about 3100-3200 rpm. The CPU and motherboard temps are not high when it happens.

For a brief period, I connected the pump to a Molex-to-3-pin adapter to make sure the motherboard wasn't sending stray signals to alter the speed. In that configuration the pump rhythmically sped up/slowed down continually, so I went back to the motherboard fan connector with only intermittent speed bursts.

Is this a sign of a failing AIO system? It's not so easy to RMA things here in Thailand and the seller only has a 30-day warranty. If I do need to RMA it (CM has a two-year warranty) do I need to wait for the thing to outright fail, or is this new noise worthy of replacement?
