Cooler Master Hyper 212+ Thermal Paste

I think it's basic thermal paste that does the job. I don't think it's worth buying better thermal paste for a basic heatsink like that. It'd be a better idea to spend on a better cooler to begin with.

i thought the hyper 212+ was a good heatsink ? 😵

It is. Some folks look down at it because it's so inexpensive. Of course you can do better if you want to spend lots.

I have the hyper evo 212 plus right now for this build I'm doing this week but over the weekend I changed my mind and ordered a Corsair H80 water cooled set up. I read some great reviews of both but I wanted a cleaner look and an over all better cooler.

As to the thermal paste question...... I would say its probably a off brand pack in. It wouldn't hurt to spend the cash for a better paste.

I used Artic Cooling MX-4 with my 212+ My 3770k idles at 26c and 59c load(max temp 1hr Prime test) with only the single stock fan.
