When I got my motherboard and processor (a7v133 and 1ghz t-bird), the local store only had one decent heatsink/fan combo. Im not exactly sure which model it is. There's a few on the cooler master site that highly resemble mine. I think its the EP5 6151-a1. Im gonna start overclocking my processor now that i have a case with decent airflow (antec sx635). My temperatures now are very high (upper 50's C idle) according to MBM 5. Im only using the small thermal pad that came on the heatsink. Here's the point:
Is it worth it to jump up the an ALPHA PAL8045 w/ a delta 80cfm 80 mm fan (yea I know, loud, but thats a different story altogether)? Or should I just invest in some ASII and keep my existing HS/F combo? Thanks.

Go for the Alpha, but make sure your mobo can take it. I have an SK-6 w/ a 33cfm Pabst fan, and it is a great set-up, and not nearly as loud as a Delta. With my 1.4 Athlon at 1.53, my CPU temps are 34C idle, and 38C full load(CPUBurn 2 for 30 minutes).

My A7V133 has the holes for the heatsink, with no obvious obstructions. I guess I'll just go ahead and get the alpha when I get some money.

Yea, read that already. Im sure it'll fit. Just trying to get an idea of whether or not it's even worth spending the sixty some odd bucks (30 for the alpha, 18 for the fan, 5 for the ASII, shipping...) when I already have that coolermaster one. Any other opinions, experiences?
