I've seen these at Fry's, they seem to be OK, the all copper unit caught my eye, has anyone used these, or are they a waste of money. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't get a cooler master. It could be just a personal preference, but u can get much better heatsinks for a cheaper price. The volcano 6cu+, nice sink + powerful fan. You can always get hte SVC GoldenGate.

Where in cali are you located. I got some extra heatsinks around, lmk if you need any.

I have two cooler masters... the hcc-002 (all copper with loud ass fan) and the funny looking hhc-001 (all copper with heatpipe and loud ass fan). the heatpipe one did not fit my motherboard because a transistor was in the way. the other one was well... too loud. i go these things to keep my 1.2ghz a little more stable but there was no freakin difference. i guess my problem isn't heat related... but geez these suckers are loud... i could only imagine how loud those freakin 50cfm 8000rpm Deltas are. Something else in my system must be crapping out... but oh well... back to my agilent. :D If you were to get those heatsinks I suggest getting it somewhere else as Fry's is charging at least $10-12 more than they really are...but then again shipping and handling will probably just bring it back up.

CoolerMasters are very decent coolers for the money. They are not meant for extreme overclockers at all, but for a basic home user with no plans on overclocking, they usually do well.

BTW, you must have incredibly sensitive ears to think that those fans are loud...! I used to have a Black Label Delta fan, and I was pleasantly surprised as it was nowhere near as loud as I had anticipated. To tell you the truth, my 80cfm Sunon 120mm fan was much much louder than the Delta.

SWScorch: About your comment about hte loudness of a delta fan... me too. But in time, i became very annoyed as it affected my sleeping pattern. You must have a good, sound-insulated case.

well Cooler Masters latest heatsink are being aimed at overclockers now... and they're not doing too bad... they got the top spot at HardOCPs old HS/FAN roundup. Regarding the noise... well I have 4 80MM Deltas that are sitting around because I tried them on my SX1030 and they're a little too loud... so now I have 4 Panaflos instead. When I put the Cooler Masters in... which had fans similar in spec to the 60mm Deltas... 6500rpm (even though my monitor said they're spinning at 7200) and more or less 35cfm... I could definitely hear it over the 4 Panaflos... and its not like i'm going deaf but just the fact that i could hear it makes me think its louder than usual. I probably won't be using it for now since i don't have the cpu i'm planning to overclock yet... so its just there. :D

heh well i have the hhc-001, the one with the heat pipe, and before that i had the hcc-002. both have the same 6800rpm rated fan, and the hhc-001 cooled my cpu about a degree or more. less and yes the fan is loud, even with the fanbus i built and with all my case fans on low, i can hear my CPU fan screaming above them all...
