Cooler Master HAF X - Full Tower Computer Case opinions

I thinking of buying the Coolermaster Haf X and just wanted to see what others have to say about it. It appears to be highly recommended from the bit of googling I've done. Anyway, my case now has lousy cable management and doesn't allow for the larger cards, 10.5" is as large of GPU that will fit (and it is a full tower) This Coolermaster I'm looking at seems to eliminate these said problems.

The case is spacious with a lot of fan options. Personally, I find servicing the desktop easy enough, though you will need a bit of strength to lift it (I'm scrawny). This case is massive - the specs on paper don't really do it justice, IMO. Just watch out for cables that aren't long enough.

I don't think the case I have has USB3 to motherboard - they're just extenders to plug in in the back. I'm not sure if they've updated that. If you're looking to do what you said above along with tons of cooling, then this is a good candidate. Otherwise, I think there are smaller cases with about the same options.

I had a HAF922... didn't really care for it. It sucked dust like a vacuum and I tried every trick in the book to alleviate it but never could. Like Sequences said... it's BIG, hope you have a place to park it. IMHO, unless you are running multiple GPUs and have a need for all those HDD and OD slots... there are probably better cases.

I've had my HAF-X for about two years now. It has USB 3.0 front connectors. It's a great case for airflow. Keeps my four Titans, 4960X, and 9 SSDs nice and cool.

I went two extremes with my desktops. HAF-X and Ncase M1. The X is fantastic. So easy to keep everything cool. Ran a fan controller and pretty much everything stays around ambient at idle. The CPU and GPU stay really cool at load. It has tremendous flexibility and space for components. Cable management is a breeze and has many ways to keep cables hidden.

I built my sister in law one with older things a few years ago to try it out, I liked it enough I bought a smaller HAF for my HTPC in the bedroom.

Nice cases, they are big and spacious and solid I like, tend to be a bit of a vacuum cleaner and have to keep em cleaned up now and then.

Still run a Antec 1200 tower for my main rig, but other than the big fan up top most things have been ripped out and altered I guess.

Big is what I'm looking for I don't ever want to feel a constraint from lack of space. My so-called full tower now can't accommodate a good portion of the higher end GPU's. And it even has a relatively small area for the PSU. I'm only running a single GPU at the moment ,but had I not been confined to such small GPU space, there would probably be at least a couple of 290's sitting in my rig.

This is very nice to know. If the case can handle your setup I don't think space will be a problem.

Not a bad case for for water cooling.
I am forced to keep case on a small tv stand to keep out the cat hair and dust.
I would never put this case on the ground.
I believe 4x140 side fans would achive better flow with multable sli or cf.
I mounted a 6 fan 3x120 radiator on the inside top.
I use a Honeywell HEPA purifier which works quite well on the medium or high setting.
Now case filters do help but they reduce your air flow I have rarely used any fan guards for the same reason.

Right on!

One of the things I did to try to fight off the dust was get fitted magnetic dust filters from Frozen CPU. While it wasn't the perfect solution, it helped some.

Good luck! Post some pics after you get it loaded up!

I enjoyed mine until I switched to the HAF-XB. It does get rather dusty though.

My computer room has a HEPA air purifier in it. Keeps the dust way down on the inside of my HAF-X. I also use a DataVac electric duster on it every month or two.

I Like my HAF case except the fact I cant remove the bottom HDD cage. Makes it tough for water cooling although there are grommets on the back so I could easily have a rad outside.

I like the concept of the XB, but it has a pretty big footprint. What I can't figure out is why CoolerMaster didn't incorporate, either as a feature or option, case filters. It would have been so easy, too. And on a $100+ case at that.

The HAF X has filters. The big problem is they are only on the ports that they deemed to be input ports and the PSU and Side fan filters are not removable.
