Hi all,

So I love my Cooler Master HAF 932 for the most part but the front fan has this red LED array in it... 4 LEDs total. They aren't as bright as some LED's I suppose but, i remember my last desktop having a bios option to change LED colors or turn them off entirely.

Now I have no such thing.

I'm not much for LEDs all over the place... you should see how much electrical tape I have on my XBox, Wii, PS3, laptop etc. When I go to bed at night I like to e able to sleep and not be haunted by 500 extremely bright little stars in my room.

Well, I saw some YouTube video of a guy who had done a mod on his to make it other colors, and have an off switch... I already know that's probably too complicated for me.

So what I was wondering is, can I safely just cut the damn cords that lead to the 4 LEDs with an exacto? it doesn't SEEM like there should be any reason that would harm the fan power... if I cut them right before the LED... is there any danger to this?

from what i remember, you have to cut the led and attach the two wires (from the led) to each other

I ended up using a screw driver to pop the cords out of the LED bulb. Sometimes the cord would come out with a nice rubber coating still on the tip, other times it would be exposed wire. So when it was exposed wire I covered that in electrical tape and then taped the wires all to the side of the fan, kinda. It worked... the fan still blows, but no longer glows.
