for any people excited about the new addition to the HAF family ...

Review: Here

CM Site with it: Here

Looks pretty nice ... although from the review it seems to be lacking a little from the older models.

They got to be kidding, right?
It's a good sized extra process that no doubt will add a little chunk to the bottom line but imo it's definitely worth it. When the inside of a case is painted it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy and definitely will make me open my wallet a little further. Not sure how much more I'd pay but I could see myself spending an extra $25 on one case over another just because it's finished on the inside as well, and I don't even need a window to enjoy the knowledge that it's there. God is in the details.

Price is key, right now the 690 II is much nicer, and has black interior.

I don't see why mfr.'s couldn't apply the enamel/paint prior to assembly, if they don't already. Coating each side would be quite simple and the extra amount of what's applied would cost quite little.

with all the other stuff this case has that seemed to be the most logical thing to cut
But looking at it the other way, with everything that this case has the logical thing to do would be to have the inside matching. Why make such a nice case and then cheapen it by leaving the inside unpainted. Reading through different sites/forums/threads when researching a case for myself, that's one of the big things others were also looking for.

I mean, it is what it is. CM had some reason not to paint the inside. Having done painting and powder coating work myself (non pc related), I can see it being very easy to hit both sides of the panels prior to assembly.

the main reason they did that is because there is no window. So no one will know except you and even you wont be able to see it once the panel is shut.

Ah damn, how'd I miss that.

I didn't check out the CM site, just the review. And the first pic shows the side. I just jumped right down to the pics of the inner layout and was reading from there.
