This is a great case. I bought one last year at a much lower price that included a rebate from CM. I think the popularity of these drove the price up. If you want a cool, and I don't mean glitzy, well ventilated case this is it. Optional installation of 4 more 120mm or 140 mm fans is a big plus.

Had one sitting here in the box since November.....got a hella deal back then. MaximumPC gave it pretty bad reviews, but loads of people seem to like it.

* OP, fix title to say CM690

Got mine for 39.99 AR with FS from ZipZoomFly. Not sure this case is worth $80. It's a nice case and all......but I think $80 is a little more than I'm willing to pay for it.

It's considered the best case.

...That's an opinion. My p180B for 55AR from Fry's was a much better deal than this to me. $80 is too expensive for this case *for me*...you can get an Antec Solo, Sonata III or the aforementioned P180 for the same price AR (and lower) if you shop around...and all three of those cases are better values than this one in *my eyes*.

The only reason this is a hot deal is b/c it's the best price for the 690 shipped. That's what hot deals are about...the best price on a given product.

Considering i've owned the 180B, the Sonata III, the 690, a LL V1000B, a LX6A19 (Mod 3 from CoolCases.com), and currently a Stacker 832 & considering what all sell for (rebate or not), the 690 is the best bang for the buck.
I thought the side panels were a little flimsy (roofers tape might help) but if loaded down with fans, it'll keep a system as cool or cooler than any of the others I mentioned. The wire management is very good & it's pretty much tool less.

I just bought this case with the promo code and it worked.

I currently have a Thermaltake Tsunami, which is a great case and all, but the door panel and the LED lights are driving me insane. I'm sick of the bling and the case is just pissing me off now. My friend built a new computer and wanted my case so I just had him order this case for me and I'm going to give him my Tsunami. I hope I'm not disappointed.

Just go to Jab-Tech & order five of these & one of these & you'll be set.
Oh...you might wanna get this & a couple of these. 🙂

I've currently got what I think is an old Dell fan, this is the model. What kind of connector am i going to need to buy in order to plug this thing in? I've got a Gigabyte P35 DS3L if that matters.

I'm about to order this case for a new build and want to make sure I have enough fans. From what I've read, the case can handle ...

1x120mm on the front
1x120mm on the bottom
1x120mm on the rear
2x140mm on the side
2x140mm on the top

Included are 3x120mm?

Are these sizes correct? And is there any way to mount an additional fan in the front?

So to properly set up this case, 4x140mm Yate Loons (pushes the total price to $113) would be the way to go?

got this case from zipzoomfly about 6 months ago for $25 + shipping AR. not a bad case, large, but found the top usb stopped working after a while, and the e-sata connector broke off when i unplugged a drive (metal housing stayed with the cable)
