Hi all,

I recently bought a semi-used Cooler Master ATC 201 case off of eBay and everything about it is fine (well the back and the top fan are missing, but i'm going to get new panaflo's soon). Anyways, i installed everything and put the power switch from the case onto my motherboard and every other switch... and it wouldn't power on. After about 3-4 hours taking the thing apart, checking my psu, buying a new psu, etc. etc., it still wouldn't work.

Until after that, i put the motherboard back into my old case, and voila it powered on (i'd thought something on the motherboard shorted). I switched the motherboard off using the power supply switch, and when i put it back into the coolermaster case i switched on the power supply, and it worked. However, I turned off the computer using shut down once, and i wasn't able to turn it back on. The only way i turned it back on was putting the tray into my old case and apparently it would turn on again from the switch. This has basically led me to believe that the power switch isn't working on this case.

Any ways to test it out or to replace it that come to mind? i e-mailed the guy and he said everything was working before he shipped it, so i can't think of much else that is going wrong with the case.

Sorry about the long post, but any responses would be really helpful. Thanks in advance.

Just contact cooler master and ask them for a replacement power swtich.
Dont' mention you got the case used.

you can manually close the circuit by connecting the pins that that power switch connect to :) this way you should be able to turn it on/off even when the switch isn't working. use a screwdriver with a plastic handle or something and just stick it inbetween the two pins and touch both of them...

lol...i did that for like 2 weeks, turning it on with a screw driver.

then i found an old reset button of another computer, and just used that.
