I am interested in a new "budget case" which can provide better airflow than my old and trusty "Cooler Master Mystique 632".

In particular, I am looking at those two:

The Cooler Master K280, and the newly released N300/N500. I cannot find any reviews about the N300 yet so I am wondering what the differences are and which of those cases would be "better".

I don't care about liquid cooling and other shenanigans, my priority would simply be a good, affordable case that can in particular provide good airflow to the GPU.

Just by looking at the two, which would you say might be the better case?

Seems that overall the N300 would provide for more and also bigger fans, whereas the K280, although an "ok" case only provides standard fan options?

I would agree with your assessment. I have the corsair 600t and based off that (I compare all cases to it now since it is my favorite and the best case I have ever used) the n300 comes closest to that. I would get that one. The side window can be used to show off your hardware too...

The sickleflow fans included are nice, I had to add a fan controller to the ones I have to get them a little quieter.

The airflow on the n300 is much nicer. Airflow is really important in a case, from my old case to the 600t, my gpu ran 15 degrees c cooler and my cpu ran 10 degrees c cooler under full load. So in that regard definitely go with the n300.

The k280 has only 2 fan slots, the 3rd one taken up by the psu, and only up to 12cm so you'd better look for something else. And you might want to look at models with a side facing disk cage if you like that on your old case.
