Cooler Master Aqua gate Liquid Cooling system

I searched and couldn't find anyone talking about this so I figured I'd start my own topic.

Here's a link to it with all the info: http://www.coolermaster.com/in...itle=+ALC-U01+Aquagate

To me, someone who is new to water cooling, it looks like a nice all-in-one system for someone who doesn't know much but wants to take cooling a step up.

I'm gonna be getting a CM Stacker case, new amd 64 processor, and new mobo this christmas to go along with it... here's my quarrel:

Does the strained silicon on the FX-55 really make it much better to overclock? Or should I go with an FX-53 or 64 4000+

My goal is to get the best performance out of the best hardware I can but I don't want to waste money just for the sake of buying something new.

I'm welcome to all suggestions

the fx-55 is the best overclocker currently for amd for the performance range because of the strained silicon. on liquid cooling, expect around a 3.1ghz range, that is if you have good memory also. 🙂

yes, that's plenty. the amount of ram doesnt have any affect on your overclock. its the type of ram you use. timings are inimportant. when looking for ram to overclock the cpu, look for faster ram, like pc-3500 or higher. one of the best memory for overclocking is the ocz el platinum rev. 2 ddr pc-3200. it can easily overclock to super high speeds, and people have been hittin up to 290mhz bus compared to the original 200mhz! 🙂
