I am thinking of putting a new fan on my heatsink. Maybe a Delta 60mm fan. But can I put a new fan on my Cooler Master AAC-001? Here is a picture.

Thanks.

Yep, I have one similar to that (but without the handy thumbrest on the clip). The fan screws to that plastic base, which clips into the heatsink's outer fins. You will need to find longer screws if your new fan is a thicker one, but a hardware store should have those.

ever think about getting a copper based heatsink with a decent fan already on it? not too expensive thesedays!!
just a thought.. but you can replace the fan on that for sure.. i think there are some slimline fans that are an upgrade over those, so you may not even need to get new screws or anything... those are not very common however.
