So I purchased a 4550 card some months ago, passively cooled, but I think it might have been better to get one with a fan, because I don't think the case I put it in has good cooling. This one http://www1.sapphiretech.com/u..._overview.php?gpid=260

So I think you can stick a cooler on it, right? Just wondering where I would be able to get a cheap one. Are all the small VGA coolers and video cards standardized so they will be able to fit well?

Thanks,
- Eli

Try attaching a 92 or 80mm, slow case fan with zip ties to the heat sink. You could also 5 volt a 1500-2000rpm fan - you shouldn't need much flow for that gpu. Also, you might have just revealed a case cooling problem that's been there and needs to be addressed.

This. It's better then to spend money on an aftermarket cooler, when the card itself it's very cheap.
