I'm looking at the Scythe Ninja (Plus or Mine) or the Tuniq Tower or the Zalman CNPS varieties..

can anyone tell me if there are heatsink/coolers that DON"T fit the Super Lanboy?

I'm not sure the Scythe Infinity or the Tuniq Tower will fit in your case....but I'm sure the rest will.

The Ninja Plus will fit fine. With the fan sticking up past the top of the heatsink, I have about 1/2-3/4" of space left before I hit the case window. Between the top of the sink itself to the side window is ~1-1.25". The Ninja is 150mm tall (~5.91") so the tallest sink you could fit into your case would be 178mm tall (~7") as long as the fan doesn't extend beyond that.

Why spend all that money when a nice Arctic Cooling HSF from Provantage.com will do the job just fine at half the price. Or do we just need an e-pee-pee?

hahah e-pee-pee.. good one :)

thanks for the responses guys.. the board would probably be the Gigabyte DS3... and why Scythe? well cuz the reviewes i've seen so far indicate it's the best tradeoff between noise and cooling at max settings.. but if u have proof to the otherwise, please do let me know.. i'm open to other choices specially if they're cheaper.. in fact i had first looked at the Arctic Cooleing Freezer 64.. but found benchmarks showing it lagged the leaders from Scythe and Thermalright etc

You have to look for the Freezer7 for Conroe.

Yeah, there are separate Freezers for Intel (7) and AMD (64).

Provantage.com beats Newegg all about the head and shoulders on price on the Freezers - particularly the 7.
