cooler and amd help

I have a "great" time installing this alpha cooler...hehee

the clip is real hard to install! I used almost all my strength to get the clips hooked on thunderbird and wonder if I have damaged the chip....

Are that any systoms of a damaged amd chip? How can I make sure that cooler is securely fixed?

i'm using epox 8k7a+....i wonder if the bios temperature is accurate...
and where else can i check the temperature of cpu?
anyone can share what temperature of your chip you get with this cooler?

clip should take 12-24 lbs of force to get on...of course, translating that into a usable force measurement is hard...basically it means that you have to push harder than you would like to.

umm...u can tell if your chip is damaged pretty much only by trying to boot up the computer

u can use a program such as motherboard monitor to check cpu temps. most tbirds should be running well under 65C
