Coolbits overclocking question

So when I overclock using coolbits, I was wondering how the "test changes" button works. What does it do to check the settings? Is it always right or could I possibly go faster?

It temporarily sets the speed at the specified speed, then goes back to the previously specified speed. It is not a reliable way to test if you're video card can run at that speed, since it only tests it for a few seconds on some very non-intesive graphical data (your desktop, namely).

I was wondering about that myself, ATI had ATI Tool, is there a program like that for Nvidia cards?
