so i just got an evga 6800 128mb video card. i installed the forceware drivers.
the guy who sold it to me said that it oc'd to 360/770. i tried to get there with rivatuner, but could only get to about 349/713. then i noticed that the overclocking didn't hold when i restarted my computer.
then i tried oc'ing it with the nvidia forceware options (coolbits). but i got even worse overclocking results, and they also didn't stick when i restarted my computer.
so i got to thinking -- both rivatuner and coolbits are software modis. do they conflict with each other? i uninstalled rivatuner, and used the coolbits tool to oc up to 361/747. and it works when i restart my computer. that's good!
but now the problem is that i can't enable my hidden shader, b/c rivatuner is uninstalled. can i somehow uninstall the nvidia oc tool, so that i can use rivatuner?
or am i just wrong about all of this?
thanks.
