So, i check my temp of my comp last night while it was idle, and my processor (2800+ Barton) was at 61oC. Well, that seemed incredible hot for a processor that isnt overclocked. So i opened my pc up to find alot of dust on the cpu heatsink/fan. I clean it off, and also realized that I had no Intake fan. So i shoved on in there on the side of the case (made a little filter too from an A/C filter).

So today i checked the temps and it was down to 45oC. A huge improvement, but is this normal temp for a 2800+ or should i try and get some more intake/exhaust fans in there?

I know that while i was running my 2500+ XP-M i would never load over 50C... that was with an all copper aftermarket cooler though. If you are using hte stock cooler, I think that 45C idle isnt too terrible... basically if you can do whatever you want with the machine and it doesnt burn a hole in your floor you are all good...
