Hey is it true that u CANNOT use NiMh batteries?

Oh yeah, what is difference between 2.0 vs 2.6 engine sizes?

Toyeast has great prices and shipping if you buy multiple Bit Char-g's (Tomy's not OEM). Go to Hobby Link Japan, They HAD great selection before they sold out of about everything, but they have great shipping if you want to buy just one item. I made the mistake of ordering $80 worth of stuff and later that night calculated my shipping would cost $40. As you shop there keep in mind that 117 yen equals one dollar, and write down the aprox. shipping of each item.

Also, I read on the forums that Tomica can't produce Bits fast enough so prices may rise soon!

Ok...

I went ahead and got a TT TREE BIT SKYLINE 2.6 w/ LOCTITE logo from toyeast.com .... It was the last one!

Total was 19$ and change....

damn... cant wait...

Oh yeah, that ultimate light mod is so cool! wow...

I ordered my Digi-Q from Sigma Automotive on Tuesday and received it today.

It's wicked fast. The proportional steering and acceleration really make it shine.

And my cats love it.

I use NiMH batteries with my Digi-Q, no problems so far. Batteries last a long time, I'm still on my first charge.

I saw the baby sub at one of the HK places. They had it for $60 which is cheap considering they used to be over $100. I don't think they make them anymore.

Thanks for the heads up nnnyyy, I got in on that deal. Those batteries are perfect for the Bit Char-G's. I read that you definitely should NOT use NiCads, NiMHs, or high end alkalines like Duracell Ultra or Energizer e2. It doesn't make logical sense to me why they would be bad, but people on the various Char-G forums have posted personal experiences and strictly recommend normal alkalines to prevent damaging the car.

edit: Just to clarify, the "only use normal alkaline batteries" rule applies to the remote controller/charging unit. There are NiMH cells available to replace the internal NiCad battery of the car. Upside to them is no more memory effect inherent in NiCad and a much longer running time between charges. Downside is that the last roughly 1/3 of the running time has noticably downgraded performance because NiMHs don't have the "all or nothing" characteristics of NiCads.

Ordered myne yesterday or the day before, i hope toyeast will hurry and ship myne :( i heard that some overseas companys wait till they have 100kg of international shipment until they call the company to ship em ...that would suck , but everyone go order!!!

Are there any overseas prices that a really good on the same models available in the US? If there is at least a $10 difference I was thinking the AMEX best Value Guarantee would work. Would Amex match a non US store? Would the store need to accept Amex to qualify?

Just thought this would be a good way to get them locally and get the difference back from AMEX.

I have a red rx-7 bit char-g. I put a NiMH battery in it. I bought the battery from www.questformadness.com

The difference between the 2.0 and 2.6 engine is the rpm it spins at.

1.0 = 10,000 rpm
2.2 = 22,000 rpm
2.6 = 26,000 rpm
3.0 = 30,000 rpm
3.8 = 38,000 rpm

I just ordered an OEM-Regular Light-up Toyota Celica for $19.08 shipped to US. Cant wait for this to arrive :D

that light up oem celica look nothing like a celica, and the light up oem skyline looks strangely similar to the light up oem lancer

eh, no biggie. I decided to order a cheap OEM first as a "test-penguin" to see its potential. If I love it as much as other people seem to, Ill get the retail ones.



BTW, I went to Wal-Mart today, but I didnt see any on the shelves. The closest thing I saw was some Hot Wheels "KIT" but I dont think they were R/C.

:D Mine shipped today, estimated delivery date is August 6. The paypal payment took them 2 days to acknowledge.

Deftones: You can mod the controller to be like a joystick. Check www.questformadness.com. I saw on another messge board that someone wanted to transplant the internals to a better form factor, like an old N64 controller. I'd like to see a mod like that :)

ToyEast is the place right now. Either that or eB@y. Everyone else is either OOS, more expensive, or both.
