I have been playing alot of Shogun 2 lately and didn't feel like I was getting the kind of performance I should be for my rig.

I did some googling which ultimately lead me to this site:

http://www.geforce.com/optimize/optimal-game-settings/

Put in your geforce video card and the game, and it spits out the optimal settings.

Shogun 2 runs awesome now and with better visuals. I wanted to share since I had never seen it before.

I could see how this would be good for lower end cards or games as poorly optimized as shogun 2, its pretty evident they're aiming for 30fps or better no matter what card you select though. Might not blow over well with some who expect 60-80.

Right. For running Battlefield 3 on a 560 Ti at 1080p, it recommends setting EVERYTHING to Ultra, 4xMSAA, HBAO, the whole shebang. That's not going to give you a very optimal framerate at all... especially for a competitive shooter.

I wonder what cpu they consider for these fps scores.

The system / CPU settings are in the little gray text below the Optimal Game Settings listed.

If you have an older / dated CPU like I do you will have to adjust down accordingly.
