I don't get the "SAB from Jet" advertising campaign either.

Back in the day Saab aerospace and Saab automotive were the same company. That's what they're getting at.

SAAB from Jet!?

It's easily explained. SAAB started as an airplane manufacturer and they still are an airplane manufacturer. They designed the Swedish Jet fighter JAS 39 Gripen.

Pics here!

Funny, everyone's psyched about this awsome concept, but yesterday word broke that GM is looking to sell Saab.

GENEVA, Feb 27 (Reuters) - General Motors Corp. (GM.N: Quote, Profile, Research) director Jerry York is now convinced the Saab and Hummer brands are good for the automaker, a month after he suggested GM do away with the brands, GM's vice chairman of global product development, Bob Lutz, said.

"Saab has really turned the corner," Lutz said at a Saab event a day ahead of the Geneva Auto Show. "It is close to making money as a brand."

"Jerry made all those comments before he joined the board," he added. "He realizes that it was a suggestion he wouldn't have made if he knew all the facts."

Hell yea, couldn't agree more with you. Especially with the A pillar missin, I don't think it would have good crash test ratings.
