I've got the HTC Mogul (6800) with the SERO plan. While the Mogul can be a complete POS at times, at other times it's invaluable.

1. I get internet nearly everywhere and I can connect with my laptop by using the Mogul as a modem. Those stupid airports that you have to pay to get wifi? I've got internet now. On a road trip and living out of your car and need to find the best rates for local hotels at 11PM at night? Can do. In an unfamiliar area and want to see which local restaurants or attractions are out there? Yup.

2. It functions quite well as a GPS (provided you have a receiver).

3. MP3 / Video player

4. Taking notes during class or recording voice.

5. Flashlight

6. Camera

7. PDA/planner/calender

8. Phone

9. Web browser

I've heard there's also ways to do remote desktop from it, SSH for the linux guys, download torrents, stream music over EVDO from your home computer (ORB), and even act as a Wifi router.

I really like orb. I keep it on my 2nd computer, and can access all of my music and photos from anywhere! I don't have a fast enough upload connection for video though.

I fail to see how you could take notes in class effectively with a PDA phone.

Voice record ... and there's also a "notes" application for writing, just as good as paper.

Bluetooth GPS unit + WiFiFofum = mapping every WiFi AP on the way home. Not very useful, but fun to see.

Things I like:

1. usuing iguidance 4-good gps software w/ tts
2. wmwifirouter-use your WM phones as a wireless access point, using the phone to connect to the internet.
3. Orb-can stream music anywhere, and movies when Im connected to wifi (not so good on cellular)
4. Using tcpmp and the flash plug in, I can watch flash videos from youtube (not mobile youtube, real full youtube), stage6, google video, megavideo, and others (quite a few adult sites Ive never checked out).
5. Having my drug refferences, some medical texts, calculators, lab test guides and other work related programs, guides and tables on me at all times. No need searching for a drug guide or medical text.
6. lots of sites with links to streaming radio stations and live tv. I get better reception of my 'local' fox station better on my phone than I do on my tv.

And lots of other stuff I cant think of right now.

I watched a movie on my Wing with the audio connected to my truck's stereo.

I really just use it to keep notes, contacts, email, browse the web and nef.

Edit: If it had IR, I'd use it as universal remote too.

I had to go to Denver for a conference a few months ago...on my off time I was exploring and got so lost lol. No prob. Fired up Google maps, enabled GPS which found me of course, and used "My current location" and requested directions to my hotel. Was dead on.

I have the Q9C for about 1/2 month and so far so good.

1. Internet - kinda slow, only able to get 1x here, about the dial up speed.

2. GPS - kinda neat, haven't use it much.

3. MP3 - not use it yet, ordered 2GB mini SD card last week.

4. Notes taking - not in school anymore, but would that battery last that long for note taking?

5. Flashlight - not sure how you can do that with that screen lumination power.

6. Camera - 1.3MB pix with 4x digital zoon. Not bad but I refer my A720 to do pics taking.

7. PDA - haven't use it yet

8. Phone - so far so good. Loud and clear, much better reception than my former ATT account/phones.

9. Web browser - not bad, kinda slow (see #1). I refer laptop/desktop, escpecially with the mouse. Good if you are in a bind.

Not sure what you guys mean Orb?

I get EV were I live, but 1X in the middle of nowhere is still better than no internet.

2. GPS - kinda neat, haven't use it much.

Couldn't live without it for road trips.

3. MP3 - not use it yet, ordered 2GB mini SD card last week.

Got a 4GB card and can't wait to get an 8GB one. The GPS maps of the US take up a lot of space.

4. Notes taking - not in school anymore, but would that battery last that long for note taking?

Yup. I use an external bluetooth keyboard and the battery lasts through a whole day of note taking + playing music.

5. Flashlight - not sure how you can do that with that screen lumination power.

I use my camera's flash, which is basically just a really bright LED. I have a button assigned that will just power on the LED without having to go into the camera.

6. Camera - 1.3MB pix with 4x digital zoon. Not bad but I refer my A720 to do pics taking.

Yup. This camera is for times where there are no other cameras around.

7. PDA - haven't use it yet

You don't use the PDA function on a PDA phone?

8. Phone - so far so good. Loud and clear, much better reception than my former ATT account/phones.

I've noticed that the metal hard case that I have actually blocks a good deal of reception. 2-3 bars sometimes jumps to 6 the moment I take off the hard case.

9. Web browser - not bad, kinda slow (see #1). I refer laptop/desktop, escpecially with the mouse. Good if you are in a bind.

Tether your PDA phone to a laptop to surf the web with the lappy by using the phone as a modem. Be careful of tethering charges. There may be ways to get past these charges by hiding your tethering.

Not sure what you guys mean Orb?

Eh, Google it.
