cool things to do with a completely junk system?

I tried moving all the ram to one system, but it wouldn't start.

Would Linux even work on this thing?

take that junk system and go to your local college, high school, or some place that will most likely have newer computers. replace all your junk components with ones from the school/college, whatever..... that or have you ever lit one on fire?
