Cool things to do in London - Advice please

I've been to London MANY times, and for that reason I no longer remember what the sights are to see (especially now, although I doubt things have changed much since the 80's when I first when and did the sight-seeing thing).

My good friend is going and I've told him to hit the following, though warning that some of it is simply boring:

Madame Taussaud's (sp?)
Tower of London
Big Ben
London Dungeon
Buckingham Palace
Hyde Park
Shakespeare's House (over in Avon, or is that Anne Hathaway's house?)
Stonehenge

The latter two are a decent trek out of London.

So what do you recommend for someon who has 5 days in London with a day allowed for a day-trip?

Its not the cheapest part of town but I always like going to Leicester Square (or that immediate area) and chilling out.

Nearby is Chinatown, with a couple of decent Japanese restaurants too! Tokyo Diner is quite authentic and isn't stupidly expensive like most places.

Nearby is Picadilly Circus with some decent shops.

London offers something for everyone. Giving advice depends entirely on what your mate is looking for.

You've got the world-class museums, tourist-type amusements, the zoo and aquarium, live theatre, great shopping, and a wealth of restaurants and cafes.

I suggest he pick up this guide.

Whatever he does, make sure he does the London Eye, which offers the best view of the city.
