Cool Stuff for an iPod?

We got my oldest son an iPod Touch (Latest generation) for Christmas. I got him a wall charger/car charger for it already.
What are some cool things to get for it: apps, accessories, etc? We put Netflix (Streams video nicely) on it and have it set up on our wireless network at home. It did a large firmware/software upgrade as soon as we hooked it up to the computer and installed iTunes. He downloaded a few free games to play and they all work fine.

What is a good screen protector for it? Is it really necessary? He is 14, but fairly responsible.

I've had the same thing for my iphones and they're great. Fantastic protection and feel, plus they come with screen protectors and universal dock adapters. The dock adapters are great if he ever wants to use a speaker system, alarm clock, or any other type of dock as you can now use them with the case on without issue.
