Some of those are bunk, especially the England ones. Largely because England isn't a country. And in no way does it have the largest military, by any metric.

edit: in times before American Revolution England was number one country in the world, richest, largest military, etc. Not sure about 1900.

1900 is possible, although maybe it was just a little before that, WWI + II fucked us over anyhows.
