I was flipping through the radio channels tonight when running an errand and heard the story of TJ Majors, a driver with the Earnhardt Jr. team. Apparently, back when Jr. was on the Busch series, he played an online racing sim alot. Majors was the only person that consistently beat him. So, Earnhardt told Majors who he was and asked him if he could come up to New York to see Majors. They talked and Earnhardt told him that if wanted to make it in racing then he needed to move down to North Carolina and join his team. The guy agreed and is living in the compound where the Earnhardt team lives and works now. He's starting out in the Goody's Dash Series and is in first place in the rookie standings.

I just thought that was a neat story.

Now if there was a Quake 3 or UT compound in North Carolina I would be set.😀
 
I've raced TJ online a buncha times, and won here and there. But he was good... Adam Dean, a Hooters Pro Cup/Goodies Dash driver was also a teammate of mine, only won against him when he slipped up, which was rare 🙂

Never raced Jr. but know a few guys who have..
