cool pic i took at july 4 party tonight

How do people take those pictures? Just prolong the exposure? That would make them all ghost though... Gug I need to take up more photography and less cinematography.

taken with a pentax optio s4, in the low light mode, with forced flash. f2.6, 2second exposure, iso 100

where the girl appears solid was at the beginning when the flash went off. this imprints her quite solidly on the sensor. the sparkler is bright enough that waving it around shows up during the rest of the exposre.

according to the photo properties... 2 seconds

how did you access those? dled it?

save to desktop, right click, properties, summary tab, make sure it's under advanced

it's kind of cool to see what cameras people are using and how they're set up

just mess around with the flash settings & long exposures....you'll get cool stuff. i took photo for 4 years, but this is all just experimentation

thats an awesome pic, i love long exposure pics. usually not superbly successful with them, but have a couple of attempts in my photo gallery in my profile. i think .

So how is it that the girl is in the back, yet the sparker is in front of the face of the girl in the foreground?

because the girl in front was there when the flash went off, and subsequently the girl w/ the sparkler waved it around in that same area
