And then there was the bay. The images were taken over about 11 minutes. I was shooting raws (naturally) and that was as fast as the camera could write to the memory card. 11 minutes is enough time for the boats to move around a great deal. Making an image which looks like it was one large shot took weeks of work. I don't exactly have nightmares about wakes but I still cringe whenever I think about what it took to fix them all. And then there was this one power boat (since this is a cussing-free website I can't repeat my nickname for it) which moved from left to right in sync with my camera. It and its wake appeared in dozens of shots covering more than half of the horizontal sweep. At least it got what was coming to it. It's completely gone from the image.
