I remember getting this pic from a thread on ATOT a long time ago. Figure I should repost it 🙂

repost

sorry, i just had to .... the devil made me do it. 😛

cool pic. although I'm not sure I believe it ... I'd have to see the squares side by side ... and I don't feel like doing that now.

I don't get it... either people will agree because they don't wanna look stupid, even though their eyes tell them differently; or it's just a test to see how ignorant people really are.

Yeah this is old 😛

If you don't believe it, open it up in paint and cut/paste the squares so they are right next to each other.

Amazing... both blocks register identical colors using color detecting hover tools (R=107, G=107, B=107).

I didn't beleive it till I photochopped it. wow

Me too.....very cool and odd.

I used the magic wand tool so you could only see both squares and indeed.....same colour....I used magic want on A but used the normal square selector for B meaning I had some of the surrounding squares and it looked much lighter......woah! :Q

Wow... someone actually did it the easy way. Its amazing how many people "cut out" block A or B and move it beside the other. 🙂

I really like this sort of pic... messes with people's mind. Also shows you how shadows can be deceiving in real life--especially in terms of color.

photochop it or just use paint to chop off A and B...and put it next to each other...

this shows how limited our brains are and how easily our brains are tricked...kinda makes you wonder u knw...

is our world the way it really seems?...all our observations can be false! :Q i mean, we never saw the world outside of our own brains...

I used to have a great link where the "showed" the explaination. It was animated so you could undertand the illusion.

Fooled how? I printed the pic out and passed it around the office. Nobody believed it was the same color until I folded it in half to get the colors side-by-side.

I remember getting that pic from ATOT a while ago. I've got it posted on my cube wall. Very cool.
