Cool new way to paint the walls of a subway.

Just think of the other possibilities here. Amusement park rides and even the highway blacktop could be used to give drivers messages about impending stop lights or a road that will be narrowing.

It'd be funny to paint the walls showing a train going the other way on fire. Or maybe the serene dolphin scene and then BOO! large Marge or something.

They already do this on the T in Boston - I recall specifically on the Red Line somewhere between Davis Square and Charles MGH.

I remember they had this when I was a kid. Not quite as elaborate. More like animated graffiti, but still cool to look at. This was on the brooklyn bound D train from grand st to dekalb, if I remember correctly.

I thought that Chicago had trains that had those new projectors attached to the outside so that they shine advertisements on the walls as you drive...maybe it was somewhere else, I dunno.

But that video's great, considering it was all hand drawn.

Yeah I think it might be between Central and Kendall.

Or it could be vinyl/paper printed graphics. Similar to the material used on highway billboards.

That is really cool but it isn't anything new, I think they have been doing that for years

Probably, but most of us don't live near a subway system. So for many this is a first and only experience.
