Hi,
Working with a Athlong 64 3000, K8V deluxe, Radeon All In Wonder, 1 Gb Corsair Ram...Windows XP.
I finally got Cool N Quiet to respond once I got all the settings right in the BIOS so it now shows that the CPU is slowing down to 800mhz.
However, the software is not behaving as it was before. The program will not minimize and I cannot "X" out of it. I now have to move it to the edge of my screen because it stays on top of anything I have open. And the voltage reading no longer appears. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the program 2 or 3 times. I also tried running a repair but when I do, it asks me to locate a setup.ini file from a CD but I don't know where or what it's looking for. I can't remember the last thing I did when this started occurring, but I want to say it was around the time that I updated the BIOS from the 1002 to the 1007 version.
Anyone else experience anything similar? Any ideas?
Also, I'm guessing this is okay, but I have to ask anyway: is the CnQ meter supposed to fluctuate or remain stable. For instance, with every new browser or application I open (or when I take an action within the app), the meter shoots to 2000mhz briefly, then comes back down to 800 mhz. Is that how it works for everyone?
Thanks!
Bill
