Okay...so it's only a measly $1.25 a share...but it's still kind of cool. I had several hunded shares of this stock as a "safe" buy because it was pretty non-volitle and paid out a consistent 10% dividend.

Logged in today to find that they had been bought out. Took my earnings and ran.

Hey, I had that same profit today!...oh, sorry, I moved the decimal too far to the right...nevermind. Nice trading, though.

Hey, now that's pretty cool.:) Glad to see someone's investments are making money. Why'd you cash in and run though? A buyout usually means good things to come, no?

The company that bought them out is private and will close out all shares at $5.76 a share. I got $5.75 in the open market. But, I came out even because that $.01 a share lost + my commission would be lower than the the $20 reorg fee I'd be facing when the shares are closed out in a few months.

They say its better to be lucky than good. :)

But it wasn't all luck, you picked a stock you thought was good, and apparently some private investors agreed with you.

500 shares bought at $4.05 a share. Sold at $5.75 a share. I had three dividend payouts of $50 a piece for $150.

It's just under $1000 after commissions. Again, not a lot of money, but I was just using this thing as a high yield money holder. Basically doubled my money in under a year.

Now I can only hope that something similar happens to SIRI :D

I hope it represents a rather small amount of your ira, I don't encourage a lot of speculative stocks in retirement funds :Q A little is fine if you're young imo.
