cool looking ceiling fan

Anyone on here have a fan that looks like this? Does it work? My 8 yr old is wanting a ceiling fan in his room and I'm tempted to purchase this since it looks cool, however, it won't fit a light kit. Plus, I don't know if it works well.

Probably not as strong of a downdraft as a traditional fan, but it would blow air around still. Kinda cool looking tho. Ask him what kind of fan he wants maybe?

He saw that one and liked the look, but really, I think he'll be happy with just about any kind of fan. The portable one he has now he hates.
