My current one is something like that:
"Hello?.......... (pause, this is the part where most people will ask "Adrian?") ... Yeah?.......... (pause, this is the part where most people will begin talking to me)... Um, I can't answer the phone at the moment so please leave a message after the beep."
I know a friend's friend who recorded his in the midst of heavy traffic, and goes something like "Hello? HELLO? I CAN'T HEAR YOU! YOU NEED TO SPEAK UP!!! HELLO?!!" which manages to fool just about everyone who calls him.
Then I had a few other creative ideas:
1. A robotic voice that goes "You have reached the personal voice messaging system of Adrian Tung. My master is not available. Please leave your message after the beep."
2. With Saving Private Ryan or something similar in the background, I'll shout something in the lines of "I'm in the middle of the warzone and can't talk to you right now, leave your message and I'll get back to you later."
So, what do you guys have on your answering machines or voice messaging systems? Any creative/geeky/prankish ideas to share?
