I have heard a little bit of some very cool music, it is almost classical mixed with electronica. To put it in perspective, a lot of violins with electonic underbeats. Any ideas ? Artists/song titles?

Does it need a genre? Why not just have these dividers (music that you like || music that you don't like)?

Magnum357 - Really? I find it more difficult... I end up looking at prog rock, when I should be looking at the math rock section... or I look at classic rock when I should be looking at fusion jazz... it drives me up the wall :p

The problem with trying to clasify electronic music is that you will get some really spectacular stuff that doesn't really "fit" into any genre and many times it will have elements from a few different genres. It makes trying to organize my 20 gigs of MP3s that much harder

electronic music seems to have more sub-genres than anything! And I thought jazz has a lot of sub-genres.

There's a band out of Colorado called United Dope Front. They sound kinda like a jazz group with a DJ. I couldn't find any of their music online, but I think they have stuff on mp3.com. A friend of mine brought the CD back after going out to CU-Boulder to visit his brother.

I found some that I liked in the same genre, Baby Mammoth and Higher Intelligence Agency are the two groups that I remember off the top of my head.
