I have come across this excellent game called cybernations, which allows you to create your own nation, and customize it in many different ways. Basicly you create a nation that you name + you name a ruler for your nation, then you choose what type of government you want (ex: Monarchy, Democracy, etc), what religion your country will follow, how much % of their income your people will pay in taxes, etc. All this effects happiness: The higher happiness the more money your people will make, so raising tax % to the max isnt always a good thing to do. With that money, you can purchase more land and infastructure (which effects enviroment & number of citizens), military units (soldiers, then later on tanks, cruise missles, even nuclear weapons), you can also purchase advanced levels of technology. You can declare war on any nation similar to yours in the "strength" rating. You can discover more information here:

If you are going to play the game I suggest you join the OIN, we're fairly new but have a decent number of members already and are already gaining ground in the world.
