I wonder if Adobe has done anything to improve it? I've used CEP2 to clean up some mp3s and it worked pretty well for me.

yea, ADobe renames it to Adobe Auditon.
improvement: so far, all i know is that you can use Audition for synchronizing audio to video file

I like Audition. I've used a few audio editing programs, including Pro Tools for Mac, and I prefer Audition.
