Cool DVD/CDRW "Dual" Drive...two drives in one..

Aside from disc to disk copys on the fly I dont see the point, just buy a normal DVD/RW combo drive

It's just wasting money on tray hardware and such

It would also look a lot better if it was dual slot or dual tray not a mix

OK, is this a DVD-RW/CD-RW drive or just a DVD/CD-RW drive. If it is the latter, then these have been available for a while on laptops, however it is intergrated into ONE drive. I just don't see the purpose of setting up two drives like that.

It only has to use one drive bay, that is one benefit. But connecting it could be an issue.

This is different from what is found in laptops, because it provides two drives in the space,
instead of one drive that serves two funcitons.

If each drive can be attached to its own channel, then that would be kinda neat.
But I'm still saving up for a DVD+RW drive...

I think that the whole point of it is to have two drives fit into one 5" bay. An integrated CDRW/DVD is cool, but you can still only use one CD at a time right? This is two seperate drives, so you would be able to have two independant drives in the space one normal drive takes up... I could see this being a benefit to someone who wants two drives, but only has one available bay...
