So, the other night I was driving on this two lane road and saw a car blowing A LOT of smoke. I swung around the block and was looking at the car from about a half a block away. I got there just in time to see the guy who was driving take of RUNNING as fast as he could. This didn't sit right with me so I followed him keeping about a block away. I saw him run to a house and bang on the door. He talked to a guy and then ran in. I went back to examine the car and saw that der police ver there. I asked them what was wrong with the car and the officer told me to go take a look inside. The steering column was all jacked up and smoke was still coming from it. I told him that I knew where the guy went. He took all the info down in his 1337-0 notebook. At this point, I heard one cop say to the other cop (about my car) "He dosen't even have plates on his car." Now you must understand, I had just got my '89 Maxima SE out of storage and was going to get plates for it the next day. The cops asked about my car and I explained it to them. I showed them my old registration and he told me to hurry and get plates for it. Thats that...or so I thought.
The next day, around 3 PM, I had just left from work. I was going home and then to the Division of Motor Vehicles. Now you must understand that even though my Maxima has 224k and the clutch is starting to slip, it still has quite a bit of pickup. So there I was, sitting at a red light next to a dude with an early 90's Ford Escort with an obnoxious coffee can on his car. The lane is is in turns to a left turn lane real quick so he wants to beat me. I don't think so. The light changes and I blow him away. I hit 55 (in a 25) and he is about four car-lengths behind me. I didn't even have it down all the way. Either way, I am coming up to a bridge and thus the populated area of the city so I start to slow down pretty fast. He dosen't. He decides to cut me off and keep doing 55. I figure this guy is a jacka55 so why not let him get ahead. It dosen't matter that much to me. I already owned him. Well he almost takes off my front bumper as we are crossing the bridge. He is still going really fast while I am down to 35 (my usual speed). Well, right over the bridge, there is a Beloit cop clocking people. Because I am not a jackas5, he is ahead of me. We both cruise by, him at about 50 and me at about 28. The cop pulls out behind my plateless vehicle. I am thinking, "Oh, Sh!t". I realize that he could take pull either of us over. Then, while I am wondering what is going to happen, I hear the cop say over the loudspeaker, "Get plates on your car Morris." I looked up quite shocked and realized that it was the same two cops from last night. I was significantly relieved. The light changes and he flips his lights on. I pull over and he passes me (w00t!) and pulls the escort over. End of story.
Now, here are your pics.
Watch out for these people.
