Cool Cop, 87 in a 30 and verbal warning

He said he sees me hauling ass all the time, and just told me to keep it under 60. He said he knows everyone does about 50-55 through here, and even though he has seen me (in his personal vehicle) doing much faster than that, he just wants me to "go with the flow." Hehe. I've felt like flying lately, so I've been driving much faster than normal -- heck I did over 100 the entire way downtown tonight. I stay out of wolfpacks, get to my locale faster, and I swear the car drives better.

meh thats nothing, the other day I pass a radar unit doing 140km/h+ in a 100km/h zone while overtaking another car, the copper switches on his lights and goes racing after the car that i just over took and pulls it over instead..I continue driving.......and laughing

How so? Completely straight rural road. No reason why the limit shouldn't be 65 like all other rural roads in the county. Even the cop said as much. I fail to see how I'm being an ass simply because I speed. I've never hit another car in my life (other than when I was 16 and backed into my friend's car 2 days after I got my license). Believe it or not, I'm a very good driver even though I always speed. Last ticket I had (that I got points for) was in 2001. I won't lie -- I speed, but so does everyone else. Speeding is speeding.

It was the Audi. It is still a joy to drive with such handling. I will have it until October (I take European delivery on my SLK 350 on September 26 in Sindelfingen).

I don't ever drive the Mustang fast on non-interstate roads because it doesn't have the handling or braking like the Audi does. However, it is MUCH MUCH faster.

I don't ever drive the Mustang fast on non-interstate roads because it doesn't have the handling or braking like the Audi does. However, it is MUCH MUCH faster.

SLK 55 AMG > SLK 350!

Don't like the seats on the 350, or the bumper.

Maybe not ass, but definately a little on the stupid side if you feel like you're flying, so you're speeding.
Sure, I've done 100mph, but "downtown" suggests urban to me, and IMO 100mph isn't a suitable speed especially at night when there may be drunk idiots around.
Feel good, yes, drive safely too though.

I see your point, and trust me I don't speed in traffic or congested areas. This was on the way to downtown, so the urban growth is not much.
